Tape Art is an artistic technique that uses colored adhesive tape to create ephemeral designs on walls, floors, and other surfaces, which originated in the United States back in the 80s almost by chance at Providence University, Rhode Island.

The TAV Collective emerged in 2011 during an audiovisual production, and we set ourselves the challenge of decorating the first coworking space in Valencia that was opening at that time. With the idea of taking this art to a new level, we created large-scale murals in the next intervention for one of the most important museums in the city, and that catapulted us to today where we have collaborated with many brands and at hundreds of  artistic events and competitions.

We use adhesive tape in different colors, thicknesses, and textures. Fluorescent colors have always been a hallmark of our Collective. The choice of colors and thicknesses or textures will always depend on the design and the surface we are going to work on.

The creation time of a work varies depending on its size and complexity. A large-format mural can take several days, while a smaller piece can be completed in a few hours.

To order an intervention or decoration for interiors, events, etc., you can contact us through our contact form or social media. Tell us your idea and the dimensions of the space where you want the work. We will prepare a personalized quote for you and show you some design proposals.

Our works are temporary and designed to be ephemeral. The duration will depend on environmental conditions and the type of adhesive tape used. However, we can use special techniques to extend the life of the works.

Tape Art can be done on practically any smooth surface, such as walls, floors, windows, vehicles, etc. However, it is important that the surface is clean and dry to ensure good adhesion of the adhesive tape.
